Set on 80 hectares, Orana Wildlife Park is New Zealand's only open range zoo. Experience unique animal encounters: hand feed Giraffe, meet Rhino up close, see Tigers search for food, watch a Cheetah sprint and experience our awesome Lion Encounter which travels through the Lion habitat (contact us for conditions). An extensive New Zealand native section includes Kiwi and a range of endangered native birds and reptiles. A fabulous new walk-through aviary enables visitors to have close encounters with New Zealand's alpine parrot the Kea! The Park is involved in managed captive breeding programmes for a range of native and exotic species. Guided tours operate daily and scheduled animal feeds occur throught the day.
